A perfect breakfast food, a versatile baking ingredient and great for overnight oats, this steel cut oatmeal delivers the truly distinct flavor and rich texture of unprocessed, 100% whole grain oats. Each canister of McCann's kosher, non-GMO oatmeal comes with 17 servings packed with fiber and 4 grams of protein per serving. Enjoy all the natural goodness of oatmeal by adding 1/4 cup of steel cut oats to a 3/4 cup of boiling water and let it simmer on low heat for 5 to 7 minutes. You can also just add water and microwave steel cut oats in a deep microwave-safe bowl for 3 minutes. Stir well and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Allow it to stand for 1 minute before serving and add your favorite toppings for a hearty flavored oatmeal bowl.

Cooking Directions: Range Top (per serving): Recommended cook method. Bring 3/4 cup of water to a boil. Add 1/4 cup McCann's Quick & Easy Steel Cut Oatmeal. Reduce heat to low, simmer uncovered for 5-7 minutes, stirring regularly. Remove from heat and allow to stand for 2-3 minutes before serving. Microwave (per serving): Combine 3/4 cup of water with 1/4 cup of McCann's Quick & Easy Steel Cut Oatmeal in a 2 qt microwave-safe bowl (the size of the bowl is important as it must be large enough to allow the oats to bubble without spilling over). Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Stir and then cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Remove from microwave and allow to stand for 2-3 minutes before serving. Note: As microwaves are different, cooking times may vary. For thicker oatmeal, use less water.
