Baked Cheesy Tomato Basil Pasta


Mozzarella and ricotta cheeses mingle with tomatoes, garlic, basil, parmesan, and pasta. Sure to be a family favorite.

PREP TIME: 15 Minutes
COOK TIME: 40 Minutes

Ingredients

1 lb. Pasta, prepared according to package directions
1 can (28 oz.) Crushed Tomatoes
1 cup Ricotta Cheese
1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
2-3 Garlic Cloves, chopped
1/2 cup Basil, julienned
1/2 cup Parmesan
8 oz. Mozzarella Cheese

Directions

	Step 1: Prepare the entire package of pasta as directed on the package.

	Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine 1-28oz can of crushed tomatoes, 1 Cup ricotta cheese, 1 Tbsp olive oil, 2-3 cloves crushed garlic, 1/2 Cup julienned basil and 1/2 Cup Parmesan. Mix well and add the prepared (drained) pasta.

	Step 3: Place the pasta mixture in a 9x13 baking dish. Slice the fresh mozzarella and cover the pasta with the slices. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until the cheese is melted and beginning to brown. (The fresh mozzarella can also be cubed and combined with the pasta mixture instead of layered on top.)
