Classic Strawberry Shortcake


Fresh strawberries, angel food cake and whipped cream... simple goodness.

SERVES: 8
PREP TIME: 10 Minutes
COOK TIME: No Cook Time

Ingredients

16 oz. Strawberries
2-3 Tbsp. Granulated Sugar
1 Angel Food Cake, prepared
Whipped Topping

Directions

	Step 1: Hull, clean and slice strawberries. In a medium mixing bowl combine sliced strawberries and 2-3 Tbsp. sugar (depending on how sweet you would like your sauce). Refrigerate for approx. 30 minutes or until the strawberries release their juices.

	Step 2: Slice prepared angel food cake or use the angel food cups. Top with the strawberries and whipped topping. Tips: Add Blueberries for Fourth of July Fare, or Try Vanilla Ice Cream for a twist on the Classic version -- OR do Both!!!
